Benefits of Jeanz membership
Journalism Education Association
of NZ opens its membership to everyone interested in the professional
education of journalists in New Zealand.
Members include most tutors or lecturers who deliver the National Diploma
of Journalism and the National Certificate in Journalism in the ten
accredited journalism schools.
Our goals are to:
- Promote the highest professional
standards in the teaching of journalism
- Collect and disseminate
information about journalism education
- Develop and maintain close
relations with mass communication, media and other professional associations
- Promote the views of the
Association
- Foster research into journalism
and journalism education
- Promote freedom of expression
and communication
Member benefits include:
- Annual subscription
to Pacific Journalism
Review
- Invitation to
the annual conference, for 2007 hosted by Massey University in Wellington
early December.
- Networking with
journalism educators throughout New Zealand, who are a small but friendly
group.
- Liaison with
the Journalism Education Association (JEA),
who collaborate on some conferences.
- Representation
on the executive of the NZ Journalists Training Organisation (JTO),
and regular reports from these meetings.
The annual sub for 2007 is $130 plus gst. (total $146.25)
